We can confidently boast one of the highest qualification rates in the country; probably the highest in the region! (over 90% qualification rate).

 

Shire Oak Instructor Training is part of Shire Oak Driving School Leeds. This has been specifically developed to train driving instructors to the highest quality to work for Shire Oak Driving School; although you have no obligation, as once you are qualified you have the freedom to work as an independent instructor.   

 

Training & Requirements

 

There are specific legal requirements that are necessary to initially becoming registered as a Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor (DSA ADI). Call 0113 391 0442 for more details.

 

The Job as a Driving Istructor

 

Once you have gained the professional qualification as an ADI the career of a driving instructor offers you flexibility of working days and hours, independence, and the opportunity to gain a great deal of job satisfaction from meeting new people and helping them achieve a valuable lifetime skill. Earn upwards of £400 per week.

 

The Training Course

 

Following a Free informal meeting with ourselves we will assess whether you are a suitable individual to work and train within our school; we will also assess your present skills, strengths and weaknesses, and subsequently tailor the course to suit your own requirements.

 

Full ONE to ONE in-car Training!! 

 

The cost of the course is as follows:-

 

Payment in full - £1,999 (Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 Test Fees are in addition to this amount)

 

Payment in 3 Amounts - £2,100 (Part 1 £600, Part 2 £600, Part 3 £900) (Plus Test Fees)

 

Payment Spread (over maximum 6 months - £2,250 (Plus Test Fees as above). This would be paid by way of a £450 deposit followed by the remainder spread over equal monthly payments, up to a maximum of 6 months.

 

What does the cost include?

Included within the cost is all of the following:

- All in-car and classroom training required to pass the tests and qualify

- All training books, cd-rom`s and driving DVD`s as required

- Use of our training vehicles for all training including insurance, petrol etc.

- Our own in-house training manual

- Highly experienced, specialist trainers with many further additional qualifications

- Full business and personnel support before you commence working

- Part 1 - 3 Hours One to One Training

- Part 2 - 12 Hours One to One Training in our own training vehicle

- Part 3 - 40 Hours One to One Training in our own training vehicle

 

What Isn`t Included?

Test fees which are as follows:-

Part 1  -  Theory Test                £90

Part 2  -  Driving Ability            £111

Part 3  -  Instructional Ability  £111

 

The course can be done as a two week intensive (residential if needed) or spread to suit your present working schedule.

For all other areas of the country we can do intensive residentials.
